The script uses two sight marks and calculates an initial sight mark for all distances.
The calculated mark will not be accurate, but should provide a good starting point.
The following calculator is for extrapolating sight marks for all distances from only two. It’s not going to be accurate, but may be useful as a starting point. It assumes that sight position is fixed, so if you use short distances the predicted marks may go off the bottom or negative if you use marks for a long distance. Let me know if you find it useful and don’t blame me if you lose your arrows!
Congratulations Bruce on winning the HGAC Coach of the Year 2009 award
Winter Coaching for All
Every other week during the indoor season coaching is available from HAA coaches at the Memorial Hall, Branch Road, St Albans, AL3 4SS.
The cost is £4 per session from 7:30pm until 10:00pm and a wide range of topics, from bow tuning to performance coaching, equipment checks to string making, in fact anything that the archer needs is catered for.
On completion of a beginner course new archers (and the rest of us) will want to continue to learn and improve. Elswood sets aside one evening during the winter and summer season for archer development.
This will be Wednesdays outdoors during the summer and Mondays indoors in the winter. Covering individual performance coaching, video coaching, bow tuning and maintenance
We will also run some sessions on string and arrow making.
Mondays indoors will be shared with members shooting rounds, so you’ll need to ask if you want coaching. However on Wednesdays outdoors it will be assumed that you would like some.
